Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
I'm purchasing articles and/or video tutorials about MIDI orchestration, sample libraries, and careers in film and video game composing. The target audience is aspiring film composers and students looking to improve their skills in MIDI orchestration and build their careers in the industry. Topics of interest include:
MIDI orchestration tutorials & production techniques relevant to MIDI orchestration
Tutorials on specific styles & techniques (e.g. epic percussion, realistic legato strings, world music, drama, comedy, how to use choir samples, etc.)
Arranging, orchestration, & composition tutorials: (e.g. part writing, ornamentation, effective voicings, color chords, etc.).
Resources for aspiring film composers: apps, software, books, studio equipment (e.g. how to transcribe music by ear using transcription software)
Composing-related careers and how to get started: film, video game, jingle writing, music libraries, sound design, sample library development
Marketing yourself as a composer or sample library developer
Composing in contemporary genres (e.g. programming great drum fills)
Reviews and demos of sample libraries/new buyer guide for DAWs
Greatest movie soundtracks/film composers
Harmonic analysis of public domain scores that use modal interchange
Pitch me your ideas - an article suggestion might be "How to EQ Brass and Percussion Samples in Pro Tools". I'm looking for detailed and practical information rather than general and theoretical. I'm unable to respond to all proposals, but please note I will keep track of qualified applicants for future opportunities.
If possible, please provide any details that help to give me an idea of your writing ability and subject expertise - written samples are helpful.
Content must be 100% unique and software tutorials need to include clear screenshots. I am purchasing full rights to modify it, use it elsewhere on the web, etc.
Pay is $50 per article (approx. 750 words, but I can adjust the word count if it is a more visual tutorial). For more in-depth articles (over 1000 words) or comprehensive video tutorials on MIDI orchestration techniques, please quote your rate. Will also take shorter articles demonstrating particular techniques and we can negotiate a price.
Thank you, and I look forward to hearing from you!
