Hi there,
I've been cutting voiceovers for years on FCP. The problem is I'm adept with FCP 7, but my new computer won't run such an old version of Final Cut. I've got FCPX, but I'm finding it as hard as everyone said it would be to make sense of the new platform.
My needs are extremely simple. I need to record audio into FCP via my mic & sound card. Then I need to edit that audio on the timeline. I need to be able to cut it, move it around, crossfade over cuts and I also want to be able to use gaps on the timeline as part of my voice recording. So if I want 5 seconds of silence, I just want to be able to include that as a gap between audio clips.
Simple, right? I thought so, until I tried making sense of FCP X. :(
Ideally I'd have some kind of phone/Skype tutorial to teach me exactly what I need to do. It's so simple in theory, I would imagine a user would easily be able to show me. Sadly, online tutorials want to teach loads of stuff I'm not interested in before getting to what I need, so I think a short one-on-one session would fix me up.
My budget for this £40. I would hope it would take less than an hour. It could take only 10 minutes.
Thanks for your time!
