Estimated project duration: 30-60mins telephone/online
I have a 2011 MacBook. Apple describe this machine as obsolete and no longer offer any support.
I need to update software, I am currently running OS X El Capitan 10.11.6
I appear to have run out of memory and so I'd like help to ensure that I am archiving/backing up etc in the most efficient manner.
I do use a separate hard-drive for old & non essential documents and a further separate hard-drive for back-ups. I don't believe I have a particularly large number of applications - but I may have some that I don't need that are taking up valuable space.
Once I have freed up enough space and worked out how to keep memory usage efficient going forward, I want to download OS High Sierra.
I also want to update my Microsoft Office programmes to Office 365. I need help to do this as I am not confident that all my existing MS Office documents (Outlook, Powerpoint, Excel and Word) will be ok. I suspect that I will first have to uninstall the 2011 MS Office programmes that I currently use before I can update to the latest 365 suite. I am nervous of doing this.
