WordPress Membership Website – Privacy, Registration & User Experience Improvements

I am looking for an experienced WordPress developer with strong knowledge of membership/community websites (BuddyBoss, BuddyPress, Paid memberships Pro or similar platforms).

My existing website is already built and working, but I need an experienced developer to review the current setup, improve the user journey, strengthen privacy settings and make several front-end and membership-related changes.

Registration & Account Creation
Simplify the registration process by removing unnecessary fields where possible.
Improve the registration success message so new members receive clearer instructions about email verification.
Review and improve the email verification/approval process and recommend the best solution if a plugin or alternative workflow would provide a better experience.
Ensure registration emails are reliable and professionally delivered.
Membership & User Experience
Review membership permissions and explain the available options for restricting features to different membership levels.
Review how private messaging currently works and advise on the most suitable configuration.
Improve wording and user guidance throughout the member journey.
Rename and reorganise navigation items to create a more logical user experience.
Remove redundant or unnecessary interface elements where appropriate.
Privacy (Highest Priority)

Privacy is my most important requirement.

I need a full review of profile visibility and privacy settings to ensure sensitive personal information is never displayed to other members unless specifically intended.

This includes reviewing:

Profile field visibility
Member permissions
Privacy settings
Any areas where personal information may currently be exposed

I would also like recommendations for any best-practice improvements to member privacy and data protection.

Profile Completion

I would like members to follow a structured onboarding process, including:

Account registration
Email verification
Completing their profile
