PROJECT BRIEF: BeyondTheSpec.co.uk — Subscription Platform Build
Beyond the Spec is a subscription-based A-Level Psychology revision platform for UK students and teachers, run by a single operator (a psychology teacher and A-level examiner with 20+ years' experience). Launch deadline: end of August 2026.
The content already exists. Over 96 polished interactive HTML quiz and flashcard files are ready, along with PDFs, cheat sheets, and worksheets. I need a developer to build a clean, professional platform to deliver this content to paying subscribers.

REQUIRED FEATURES FOR LAUNCH
User Accounts

Student and teacher registration and login
Two account types: Individual and School/Department
School accounts can manage multiple student logins under one licence

Subscription & Payments

Monthly and annual billing via Stripe
Three tiers: Free, Standard, and Premium
School/department licence option
Owner can manage pricing without developer help

Content Delivery

Interactive HTML files must render natively on the page (not as downloads)
PDFs available to download
YouTube videos embedded within topic pages
Content locked by subscription tier
Content organised by unit and topic

Student Progress Tracking

Quiz scores saved against each student's account
Students can see which topics they've attempted and their scores over time
Simple progress dashboard per unit
Note: owner does not need to view individual scores at launch

School Account Tracking

School licence holders can view basic progress data for their students
Simple summary per student: topics attempted, scores, dates

Design

Clean, professional, mobile-responsive design
Colour-coded unit navigation (codes provided)
Owner will supply logo and brand assets


IMPORTANT TECHNICAL NOTE
My HTML quiz files calculate and display scores internally using JavaScript. The platform needs to capture these scores and save them against the student's account. Please explain in your proposal how you would solve this.

FUTURE FEATURES (not needed at launch — awareness only)
AI essay marking, real-person marking workflow, live tutor session booking, student-created flashcards, expanded school analytics.
