Description
Experience Level: Expert
We’re a UK-based creative agency with a growing digital arm, and we’re looking for a reliable WordPress developer to support monthly maintenance and occasional development across a portfolio of 5–7 client sites.
We need someone within a +/-3 hour timezone of BST - please only apply if this is you.
This is a long-term freelance opportunity, we’re after a consistent, dependable partner who communicates well and helps us keep our sites stable, secure, and evolving.
What You’ll Be Doing
Monthly site updates: Updating plugins/themes across 5 WordPress websites (built with Elementor or Bricks, often using custom code)
Testing & QA: All updates must be applied first to a staging environment, tested thoroughly, and client-approved before going live
Bug fixing: Troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise from updates or plugin conflicts
Light feature development: Occasionally building out new templates, sections, or landing pages on existing sites
Client coordination: Ensuring changes don’t overwrite anything a client is working on and getting their approval before deployments
On average each site takes approx 2 hours to update, check thoroughly + report to clent.
Tech Stack
WordPress (Strong Elementor & Bricks Builder knowledge required)
Comfortable working with PHP, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS
Strong troubleshooting skills & solutions focussed
Communication & Workflow
Friendly, fluent English communication is a must
Day-to-day comms via Google Chat
Planning and task management through Trello or Productive (we’re open to refining this together)
Clear, consistent monthly cadence for updates (ideally same day each month)
Nice to Have
Experience with CRM integrations (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce, Mailchimp)
Experience with GA / GTM
Familiarity with AI-powered tools or website features (chatbots, personalisation, etc.)
Experience working with creative agencies or branding-led teams
If you’re dependable, detail-oriented, and confident with custom WordPress builds, we’d love to hear from you. This is a long-term opportunity to become a trusted part of our extended team.
Fixed Monthly Retainer: €400/month
Covers:
• Monthly updates and testing for 5–7 sites (approx. 12 hours/month)
• Minor bug fixes and coordination
• Monthly reporting and communication
Ad-Hoc Rate: €28/hour
• For any work beyond the monthly scope, including:
• Additional feature builds
• Urgent support
Client-specific customisation
If support regularly exceeds 12 hours/month or the site count increases, we’ll review the fixed rate together.
