Description
The issue:
Some students lose access to past assignment submissions, especially when a payment fails or their subscription lapses. The data might not be deleted — it could be a permissions or plugin conflict issue.
We’re currently using:
LearnPress
WooCommerce Subscriptions
Paid Memberships Pro
WordPress on a staging environment (you’ll have full admin access)
What I need from you:
Check whether assignment files are deleted or just hidden
Determine if loss of access is triggered by payment status, user roles, plugin conflict, or caching
Use tools like Query Monitor or error logs if needed
Provide a clear explanation of what’s going wrong and suggest a fix (not just guesswork or general coding advice)
Requirements:
Proven experience with LearnPress or similar LMS plugins
Strong knowledge of WordPress backend structure and plugin interactions
Clear communication — I have an IT background and want transparent, scoped responses
You must work only on the staging site (no live site access needed for this stage)
I can provide sample cases, plugin details, and full staging access.
Budget: this includes diagnosing the issue and applying a fix, provided it's straightforward (e.g., plugin conflict, role issue, caching, or visibility setting). If the issue requires more extensive development (e.g., a custom plugin to override LearnPress behavior), we can discuss scope and additional cost at that point.
Timeline: Ideally within 3–5 days

Hi Shahid,
.
Thanks for the clear explanation. Before submitting the full proposal, I’d like to clarify a few points to ensure the diagnosis is precise and efficient:
.
(1) Could you confirm whether the assignment files are uploaded through LearnPress's default assignment module or via a 3rd party upload integration ?
.
(2) Are there any custom hooks or overrides implemented in your theme/plugins that alter role or visibility logic ?
.
(3) Can you provide a sample user who recently lost access (post-subscription lapse) for permission testing ?
.
(4) Any caching plugins or object caching services currently active on the staging site ?
.
With these insights, I’ll proceed with a scoped and accurate diagnosis as requested.
.
Looking forward,
Aditya
