Description
Size - 4 sizes
Finish - 3 options
Frame - 4 types
Each has a different image
It is built in wordpress and is very slow. It is a trade only account with logins given to customers.
I would like to transfer it into Shopify and make a public facing website.
I would like an idea of cost, time to switch. How long the site would be down for and what would be required to make it happen.
Thanks
Nathan P.

Nathan,
Before providing a final quotation, we'd like to point out one important consideration we've identified.
Based on the information you've shared, your catalogue consists of approximately 25,000 products, each with around 50 variations, resulting in well over 1.2 million product variants. While Shopify can comfortably support 48 variants per product (your combinations of 4 sizes × 3 finishes × 4 frame types), stores of this overall size require careful migration planning.
We'd also need to review how your variation images, SKUs, pricing, stock levels, and product options are currently structured in WooCommerce. This will help determine the most efficient import strategy and whether Shopify's standard plan is sufficient or if Shopify Plus (or an alternative approach) would be more appropriate to avoid migration limitations and ensure long-term performance.
A few questions before we can provide an accurate fixed quotation:
1. Could you share your current website URL so we can review the catalogue structure?
2. Does every variation have its own SKU, price, stock quantity, and image?
3. Are all 25,000 products active, or are some archived or discontinued?
4. Do your trade customers currently have customer-specific pricing or discount levels that need to be preserved?
5. Would you like to migrate existing customer accounts and order history, or only the products and website?
6. Are you looking for a completely fresh Shopify design, or would you like the new site to closely resemble your current one?
7. Do you already have a preferred Shopify plan, or would you like us to recommend the most suitable option after reviewing your catalogue?
Looking forward to your reply.
Kind Regards. -

Hi Nathan,
• Is your priority minimizing website downtime during the migration, or would you prefer a phased launch with testing before going live?
• Are there any custom features or trade-account functionality on your current WordPress site that must be replicated in Shopify?
Looking forward to your reply.
Kind Regards.

Could you let me know whether your customer logins and trade pricing need to be retained in Shopify, or will the new store be completely public?
