Hi, I’m looking for a developer to create a website for personalized children’s books.

I already have the books fully designed and illustrated. The AI does not need to create the book or illustrations from scratch.

I have already tested the personalization process manually and it works well.

The current process is:

I have an image containing several poses of the illustrated main character.
The customer provides a clear photo of their child.
Both images are sent to an AI image editor with a fixed prompt.
The AI changes the illustrated character to resemble the child while keeping the same art style, clothes, poses and expressions.
I then use the personalized character poses inside the existing book.

I will provide you with:

the original character pose image
a sample child photo
the AI result I achieved
the exact prompt I currently use

What I need initially is very simple:

I want a website where a customer can:

Choose a book → enter the child’s name → upload their photo or select from set choices to create an avatar → place an order/pay.

Behind the scenes, I want the child’s photo and my character-pose image to be automatically sent to an AI image API using my existing prompt, and for the personalized character image to be generated. Only the head of the of the main hero in the book will change with the child's image, while matching the art style. everything else should be exactly the same

I also need a simple admin area where I can see:

the order
child’s name and photo
generated character image
regenerate it if needed
approve the order

At first, I do not need the whole book to be generated automatically. My designer can manually place the generated character into the book after I approve it.

Later, if the website is successful, I may automate more of the book-production process.

The most important first step is simply to automate what I am currently doing manually with AI.

The requirements are:

integrating an AI image-editing API into the website, that can recreate the same image exactly matching the artsyle without changing anything except the head
A create your own avatar feature for parents that dont want to upload their childrens pictures to AI
Creating website that matches the theme of the book
The website is linked to the ecommerce website https://s.salla.sa/
The visuals of the uploaded child and the images created by the API to be automatically sent to the set email

    For the avatar option, do you already have a preferred avatar-generation tool/style, or should we recommend and integrate one?



    How should Salla handle the order flow—should customers complete payment on Salla after personalization, or should the full purchase flow happen on the new website?

    - For customers who don't want to upload their child's photograph, how would you like the avatar creator to work? For example, should parents select predefined characteristics such as hairstyle, skin tone, hair colour, facial features, clothing, or other options to create a reference avatar?

    - Should customers personalize the character first and then be redirected to Salla for checkout, or should the personalization information be attached directly to the corresponding Salla product/order?

    1. Which AI image-editing API are you currently using for the manual personalization process, and can you provide the exact input/output examples and prompt so we can evaluate whether the same workflow can be reliably automated through its API?

    2. For the “create your own avatar” option, should parents choose from predefined features (hair, skin tone, clothing, etc.), or do you already have a specific avatar builder/design system in mind?

    3. How should the website integrate with Salla — should Salla remain responsible for the complete checkout/order/payment process, with the personalization system receiving order details through an API/webhook, or do you want checkout handled directly on the new website?

    4. For privacy and storage, should uploaded child photos and generated images be automatically deleted after being emailed/approved, or do you need them stored securely for order history and potential future book automation?
