Description
We have tried to launch it twice. The first time back in May for a few days and the second time in early August for 5 days. Each time our organic traffic has dropped hugely and there has been a considerable drop of rankings. It recovered after we rolled back the first time and seems to be recovering after the second rollback. It was only after the second launch and rollback that we realised something was wrong with the new site.
We have Google analytics data and can provide search console access.
Research needs to be done and a thorough website migration strategy needs to be developed. We need to see from a technical element what is being missed off from the new site that is in the old site.
Objectives:
1. To retain the search rankings we had before launch
2. To regain any rankings we lost
3. To successfully switch the site and increase rankings for popular relevant search terms
The webmaster is technically good at building and maintaining the site and will be able to implement the plan.
I will provide the new (staging) site url to anyone that replies to this with the necessary experience.
You should have migrated web sites before more than once and be able to provide a case study of improved results.
The successful freelancer may gain ongoing SEO work on the site. The job could start as early as next week.

Hi Geoff,
We would only provide this service if we were actually building the website, SEO migration is key in all website refresh / migration development.
However, I would start with your developer checking the URLs of the website, if the URLs are not identical to the previous website URLs then the SEO benefit and therefore your ranking is lost, as the previous pages no longer exist in Googles eyes.
If the URLs have been changed, and it is too big a task to change them to match the current ones, then you will need to set up a URL redirection from every page, as a 301 permanent re-direct.
The other key areas are to ensure that the web page metadata is the same like for like, also the keyword phrases and links need to be identical.
I hope this helps. For future migration, this element is the first element to consider.
Best of luck.
Bill.

I have completed a number of migrations, both to new sites on the same domain as well as cross domain migrations!
Can I please see the staging URL?Geoff M.17 Aug 2016new.globalcoachtours.com
