Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Hello and thanks for your interest.
I am a mature, professional English born male, seeking 1 to 1 coaching to help reduce my regional accent.
I’m currently attending a number of senior job interviews for National and International positions and whilst I’m proud of my heritage, I am conscious smoothing my British regional accent may be beneficial.
My work may take me abroad and as part of my self-development I would be interested to learn how my voice and accent might be perceived by others. I can only attain this insight with the help of honest, constructive (and confidential please) feedback.
I’m seeking personal 1 to 1 coaching (ideally via skype?) to help me identify and target work to reduce my regional accent. You might also be able to provide me with, or guide me to suitable self-improvement / practice resources... “How now brown cow” etc
The ideal arrangement for me would be something like 3 or 4 half hour (2 hrs in total), on line skype sessions (sessions can be timed to take place at mutually convenient times - daytime is fine).
I don’t necessarily seek to develop perfect RP, in any case I’m probably too old now to achieve such a transformation! I do however seek some personal coaching and feedback to help me identify and target which particular words, phrases and sounds I should focus on.
Do you have experience in this area? Are you able to give up a little of your time to help with some 1 to 1 on line tuition? Would you enjoy teaching a middle aged dog a few new tricks? If so, this is for you and I look forward to hearing from you.
Suggested fee is £100 for 2 hours work in total.
Confidentially essential. Sense of humour optional but desirable.
Many thanks
Geoff
