Description
A live web app used by care services in the UK. It’s built with Python (FastAPI), MongoDB and React, and was originally built with an AI app builder.
What I need (this project)
A fixed-price code review, explained in plain English (I’m not from a tech background). Please tell me:
what state the code is in, and any risks you find
what will need changing to move it to new hosting
the best UK hosting setup, and what it will cost each month
a price and timeline for doing the move
Likely next steps (separate work)
Moving the app to UK hosting, then improving its security.
How we’ll work
The app handles personal data, so you’ll work in accounts I own, using test data only. You’ll need to sign an NDA and a contract saying I own the code.
To apply, please tell me:
Where you’re based
Your experience with FastAPI and MongoDB
An example of an app you’ve moved to new hosting
Your price and timescale for the code review
Experience in health, care, education or the public sector is a plus. I’ll share full details with shortlisted developer
Empowerment T.

Hi,
Could you please clarify whether the existing application is deployed on a single hosting environment or uses separate services for the frontend, backend, and MongoDB database?
Also, is being based in the UK a mandatory requirement for this engagement, or would you be open to working with an experienced remote development team based overseas?
Looking forward to discussing further.
Best Regards.

Hi,
I have experties with Python, FastAPI, MongoDB, React and AWS deployments.
Where is the application currently hosted?
Do you have a preferred UK hosting provider?
Thanks, Naresh -

Could you confirm where the app is currently hosted and how the code and database are deployed at present?
