U.S. WordPress/WooCommerce — Cart Fix, Mobile Completion & QA

I am seeking an experienced, highly detail-oriented U.S.-based WordPress/WooCommerce developer to finish an existing wellness/lifestyle website and prepare it for final owner review.

This is not a new website build or redesign. The developer is being hired to finish the website—not reinterpret it.

The site is hosted on GoDaddy Managed WordPress and uses Elementor and WooCommerce.

The desktop site has already undergone extensive owner review and is close to completion. Specific remaining desktop corrections will be provided with screenshots and written instructions.

The mobile/responsive site has not undergone a complete systematic review and requires comprehensive responsive completion and testing.

WORKING BOUNDARIES

Work only within the assigned milestone and scope.

Do not change content, design, page structure, functionality, plugins, theme, payment configuration, hosting configuration or unrelated areas.

If you identify another issue, notify the owner in writing and obtain written authorization before changing it.

Approved content must not be rewritten or edited without written authorization.

Repair and simplify before replacing. No new plugins, external systems, structural changes or rebuilds without written authorization.

MILESTONE 1 — WOOCOMMERCE CART & PURCHASE FLOW

There is a known customer-facing WooCommerce cart problem.

Owner documentation shows one physical book at $19.95, quantity 1, while the resulting cart can display incorrect accumulated quantities and unrelated coaching items. Screenshots will be provided to the selected developer.

Diagnose and correct the actual cause without altering unrelated working functionality.

Requirements:

Correct the cart/quantity problem.
Ensure selected quantities display accurately.
Ensure removed/previous items do not unexpectedly reappear.
Keep the Shop/book purchase flow strictly separate from Coaching inquiry/consultation.
Verify cart calculations, existing shipping and applicable tax.
Complete one genuine end-to-end transaction through the existing checkout/payment flow.
Verify customer confirmation and WooCommerce order record.
Test on desktop and mobile.

Book → quantity → cart → checkout → shipping/tax → payment → confirmation → WooCommerce order record

Milestone 1 must be satisfactorily completed and accepted before proceeding.

MILESTONE 2 — SPECIFIC DESKTOP CORRECTIONS

Desktop is close to completion. The developer will receive specific documented remaining corrections, including screenshots/written instructions.

Correct those identified items only. Do not reopen reviewed desktop pages for redesign or general refinement.

MILESTONE 3 — MOBILE & TABLET

Perform a comprehensive visitor/customer-facing responsive review across common mobile/tablet widths.

Test and correct navigation, headings/text wrapping, readability, buttons, forms, images, spacing/alignment, horizontal overflow, footer, customer-facing pages, Blog & News, and Shop/product/cart/checkout.

Test your work thoroughly before presenting it for owner review.

MILESTONE 4 — BLOG, FORMS, LINKS, REDIRECTS & FINAL QA
Ensure Blog & News works with normal WordPress publishing so future posts display properly without requiring a developer.
Verify forms, successful submission, visitor confirmation and actual email/notification delivery.
Preserve the separate Health History Intake pathway.
Verify navigation, dropdowns, links, buttons/CTAs, social links and customer pathways.
Redirect owner-provided additional domains to the existing primary domain. Do not make unrelated DNS, hosting or email changes.
Perform final customer-facing functional QA.

Testing does not authorize unrelated changes.

REVIEW & LAUNCH

Each milestone must be developer-tested before owner review.

Show me exactly what a visitor/customer sees and experiences.

A satisfactory milestone will be approved and paid before proceeding to the next.

The website must remain in Coming Soon/private mode throughout the project. The developer is not authorized to launch the website. The owner will handle launch after satisfactory completion and acceptance.

PROJECT TERMS

U.S.-based applicants only. Include examples of relevant WordPress/WooCommerce troubleshooting work, especially existing sites you inherited rather than built from scratch.

Timeline: 1–2 weeks.

Budget: $350 fixed-price starting budget. Work is milestone-based. Additional compensation may be considered only for additional work identified, discussed and approved by the owner in writing before that work begins.
