Shopify Developer Needed (Bangalore-Based) – New Theme

Project: Full Shopify site build on a new domain (pierstbarth.ae)

Timeline: Complete and ready to launch by January

Theme: Shopify Impulse Theme (Preset: Impulse)

Location Requirement: Developer must be based in Bangalore (preferred: ability to meet or show progress from a Bangalore office)

About Us

Pier St. Barth is a luxury resortwear brand with a global audience. Our current site (https://pierstbarth.com/) is performing well during peak season, so we do not want to modify the live store. Instead, we are building a new Shopify store on pierstbarth.ae, which will eventually serve the Dubai market.

Project Overview

We need an experienced Shopify developer to build a complete Shopify site using the Impulse Theme, ensuring:

- A clean, luxury, high-end look consistent with our existing brand identity

- All Shopify best practices are followed

- The site is fully optimised for SEO technical fundamentals (I will guide where required)

- The structure supports our existing long-form content on collection pages and product description pages

- A seamless handover to our internal team for content uploads and ongoing management

- The build will take place on the .AE store, keeping our current .com store untouched.

Key Requirements

Technical & Shopify Expertise

- Proven experience building custom Shopify stores (links required)
- Strong experience with the Impulse Theme—homepage, sections, templates, custom blocks
- Skilled in theme customisation, metafields, product templates, and Liquid

Can set up:

- Product pages with structured, long-form HTML descriptions
- Collection pages with SEO content blocks
- Visual merchandising + filtering
- Multi-level navigation menus
- Blog structure and content templates
- Ability to integrate required apps (reviews, loyalty, analytics, email etc.)
- SEO Understanding (Basic)
- You do not need to be an SEO specialist—just the basics:
- Clean URL structures
- Proper use of headings
- Alt text handling
- Fast page speed
- No duplicate content templates

Logical site architecture
(Full SEO guidance will be provided by me as the Head of SEO.)

- Communication & Workflow
- Must be based in Bangalore
- Weekly progress updates & preview links required
- Must be comfortable collaborating with other teams (design, SEO, content)

Scope of Work

- Set up new Shopify store on pierstbarth.ae
- Install and customise Impulse Theme
- Create homepage, product pages, and collection pages
- Build global navigation + mega menu

Implement SEO-friendly templates for:

- Product descriptions
- Collection content sections
- Migrate or recreate required content blocks from our .com store
- Configure checkout, payment, shipping, tax settings (for UAE market)
- Set up apps: Wishlist, Reviews, Search, Analytics, Pop-ups, etc.
- Optimise speed and performance
- Provide final QA and testing
- Provide training/handover to our internal team

Deliverables

- Fully functioning Shopify site ready by January
- Desktop + mobile responsive design
- Theme edits documented
- Training session or Loom walkthrough videos
- Ongoing support available (optional)
