Description of requirements/features: I am close to launching a Shopify store which will sell highly personalised items of clothing and accessories...

Part of the personalization is for the customer to upload a photo of their pet - which I then turned into a cool image of their pet - laid over a cool background pattern which the customer chooses from a range of options. So final image on the product is cool background pattern + cool edited image of pet. This is then printed on the customers choice of product (E.g. T-shirt, Hoodie, Bag, mug etc).

Shopify and apps available allow swatch background options which can be selected by the customer. However there are limitations in how these can be displayed. E.g. swatches are only very small. It looks poor and doesn't have the flexibility I need. I want large swatches, which are visually appealing and I understand a small amount of development is needed for achieving this.

Below I give two examples of competitor sites. Site 1 is what I want to achieve. Site 2 is what I can do with existing apps on shopify - this isn't good enough. You will need to go through the buying process on site 1 to see the colour options and how I would like them to appear as options on my site (although I will have different patterns).
