Senior Magento Developer for E-commerce Performance & API Work

I’m looking for an experienced Magento 2 / Adobe Commerce developer to work on an existing e-commerce platform and implement a number of backend, integration, and performance improvements.

The website is already operational, so this project is focused on improving and extending the existing system rather than developing a new store from scratch.

The developer will need to be comfortable working with an established codebase, investigating existing functionality, identifying technical issues, and implementing production-ready solutions.

Scope of Work

The initial scope includes:

Review the existing Magento 2 architecture
Analyze current performance bottlenecks
Optimize slow database queries
Improve Magento caching configuration
Review and optimize selected API endpoints
Improve product catalogue performance
Optimize product and category loading
Review third-party integrations
Fix selected integration issues
Improve checkout-related functionality
Implement agreed backend improvements
Resolve existing technical bugs
Review PHP code for performance and maintainability
Improve error handling and logging
Test changes in a staging environment
Prepare the completed changes for production deployment
API & Integrations

The platform communicates with external services, so experience with integrations is important.

The developer may work with:

Webhooks

The exact integrations and technical priorities will be provided after the initial review of the existing system.

Performance

A significant part of the project will focus on improving the technical performance of the platform.
