Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
I have a website (teacher – student introduction site) where customers pay via PayPal to become members of the site.
After making a PayPal payment they are directed to a page on the site where they enter some details about themselves, but most importantly they specify a email address and a password. They then use this password and email address to log into the members area.
These customer details are stored in a table in a database associated with the site.
I am looking for a script which does the following:
After a student has filled out the form into which they enter their email address and password (and name), and press submit, an email is sent out from my web-server’s email address which basically thanks the customer for joining and tells them their log in details (i.e the email address and password they have just entered).
As well as sending this email to the customer, it also BCCs the email address to myself so I can see that the customer has received the welcome email after making the PayPal payment. This is important as sometimes customers don’t get directed to the necessary page after making the PayPal payment and therefore I could see if this has happened.
The text for the email which is to get automatically sent has already been written and I also have the graphics which I would like to go on the email. Until now I have been checking the database and sending the email manually.
As seems to be standard with most automated emails nowadays, I would like the images to appear, but with maybe the option of clicking on the image to download it? I think this is pretty standard but I’m happy to listen to your advice of this.
I’m not sure how many hours this will take so I’m happy to receive bids on the costs and an approximate breakdown.
I would also like to have the script briefly explained to me so that if I wanted to change the text or the graphics I could do so (just a very brief explanation is required).
Many thanks,
Adam
