Ruby On Rails Developer for ongoing Ruby Project

We seek an experienced Ruby on Rails developer to assist with ongoing development and maintenance of an established Ruby on Rails application. The application is a web-based system built on Rails 7 that serves as a SaaS platform for small business customers. Responsibilities will include improving the application's performance and scalability, adding new features to the codebase, and fixing bugs. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of commercial experience building complex web applications with Ruby on Rails. Proficiency with technologies like PostgreSQL, JavaScript, HTML/CSS is essential. React is ideal but not needed. Experience with integrating 3rd party APIs, testing methodologies like RSpec, caching techniques and deploying to services like Fly.io is preferred. The work will be part-time with a focus on delivering enhancements and responding to support issues on an iterative basis. Applicants should demonstrate strong skills in Ruby/Rails programming, debugging abilities, and an aptitude for thriving in a self-directed remote work arrangement.
