Description
Budget: $1,600 USD Fixed Price
Duration: 3–4 weeks
Technical Stack & Key Tasks
UI/UX Design (Figma): Refine the homepage grid and the Product Detail Page. Create a minimalist, magazine-style layout using elegant typography, clean asymmetric grids, and optimized negative space.
Frontend Implementation (React / Next.js or Standard HTML/CSS/JS depending on stack):
Modernize the existing frontend components for the catalog and product pages.
Implement smooth, lightweight micro-interactions and transitions (e.g., clean hover effects, fade-ins on scroll using CSS or lightweight libraries).
Ensure flawless, pixel-perfect responsiveness across all screen sizes (mobile-first approach).
Performance Check: Optimize images, clean up layout shifts (CLS), and ensure fast loading times for mobile users.
Timeline & Milestones
Milestone 1 (Week 1) — $500: Delivery of Figma wireframes and interactive UI mockups for the Homepage/Lookbook and Product Detail Page.
Milestone 2 (Weeks 2–3) — $700: Frontend coding, component integration, and layout implementation.
Milestone 3 (Week 4) — $400: Mobile responsiveness optimization, cross-browser testing, final visual polishing, and handoff.

Hi Vries, on the product detail page, what do you want the redesign to improve most: making the product feel more premium, helping shoppers find key details faster, or reducing mobile friction before add-to-cart? That choice will guide the visual hierarchy, spacing and interaction details in the first Figma pass.
-

When you describe the desired magazine-style aesthetic, which brands best represent the experience you're aiming for (e.g., COS, Aesop, Acne Studios, Apple, Zara Atelier, Monocle), or do you have other references?
Is the existing application already built in React/Next.js, or should the frontend technology be confirmed before implementation begins?
Will the Figma deliverables include a complete design system (components, variants, typography scales, spacing tokens, and interaction states), or are only the homepage and product page expected?
Which metrics are currently causing the biggest performance issues—CLS, LCP, image loading, JavaScript bundle size, or rendering performance?
Are animations expected to be implemented using pure CSS, Framer Motion, or another lightweight library?
Should the redesign preserve the current information architecture, or are improvements to navigation, product discovery, and user flow part of the scope?
Are there existing accessibility or brand guidelines that must be followed, such as WCAG compliance, typography rules, or predefined spacing systems?
Will I be collaborating with an existing backend team, or am I expected to work directly within the current frontend repository and deployment pipeline?
Would you be available for a brief design review before development begins? Spending 20–30 minutes aligning on typography, spacing, interaction patterns, and implementation priorities usually reduces revisions significantly and ensures the finished product matches your brand vision precisely. -

Is the current frontend already component-based (e.g., React/Next.js with a reusable design system), or will part of the work involve refactoring the existing architecture to support the new UI while maintaining performance, SEO, and future scalability?"
