INLINE SHUFFLEBOARD - A casual player professional sports game -
I have a papervision3d v1.7 multiplayer turn based game created in Flash 8/CS3/Flex - Smartfoxpro 1.6.2.
I have the *.swf and tex folder but the original *.fla was never delivered.
I own all copyrights(ECO - Inline Shuffleboard)and need the *.fla created.
This is a very simple game: Pull shooter for power, aim and shoot using the game board logo for distance and aiming reference points. No angle shots. It is mostly pure PV3d with a Flex component.
The original game (swf-tex), decompiled source (fla-resources) and project (txt, new game room img & PV3d decompiling results tips) are in the ISBP.zip. http://isbtour.com/developers.htm
Here are the modifications and tweaks I need:
1. Install one picture game room (Inline Shuffleboard) template. It has a main background image, a 3d platform model with an overlaid sign/scoreboard and game board images.
The 3d shooter, platform and puck models created in Sketchup7. I can export the new *.skp models in most popular formats.
These game images need to be located in the tex folder so some new picture game rooms can be completely installed simply by replacing the graphics using a static 3d platform template like the one I want installed.
2. The spinning camera on the intro needs to be disabled as this type of game room does not have 4 walls. However it will be useful later for full custom game rooms.
3. To play one must click the screen to focus and then press the spacebar to start play. Eliminate the click screen to focus or space bar on the menu screen.
4. The space bar text color is too dark. Change the font color to #FFFFFF or better choice.
5. ADD - In the computer game the player always shoots first in every game. The computer needs to alternate shooting first in new games. The multiplayer will have to use php for this control.
Note: I have a PHP programmer working on the site now. He setup my gaming ladder/tournaments auto scoring, amember one-click login and the smartfox server.
6. The game puck collision is sluggish requiring way too much power to score the longest shot (10 Off). A sitting puck when struck reacts as if it weights a ton. Tweak the shot action for more puck interaction and freer game play. Delay the camera zoom one second or less as it moves to quickly and flies over a shot puck then let the zoom linger for 2 seconds before release.
Here is a playable example of the shot action and delayed camera zoom necessary. See the attached screen capture for a game winning shot (a four puck combo that scores 3 pucks).
This kind of play action on my simplified inline platform will enable great multiplayer games. http://www.orbitzgames.com/arcade_shuffle.aspx
6. The computer game has the birds eye angle too steep. I have lowered the angle of the game board for more of a FPS view. Also to make it appear to be longer and the zoom more significant.
7. There are 2 sounds associated with the 20 second shot clock that are not activated. One is a warning beep at 5 seconds before time is up and a buzzer indicating lose of shot if the player fails to shoot within the 20 seconds. The sounds, sound9.mp3 (beep)and sound8.mp3 (buzzer) required are located in the game resources sound folder. Class files are BeepSound.as & BuzzSound.as.
8. ADD - If a player fails to shoot within the 20 second shot clock time limit a 2nd time in the the same game - game over they lose.
9. Smartfoxpro 1.6.2 is currently connected to a junk game to test the my gaming ladder/tournaments multiplayer auto scoring and recording of players stats.
Up grade the server to SFSPRO_linux_1.6.6.tar.gz and apply the SFSPRO_Patch_1.6.8.zip for the revised game.
Files on site.
10. Once the computer game is completed I need Mochi Ads, Analytics and High Score API snips installed so I can post the game on their network. http://www.mochimedia.com/
Note: I am open to any ideas to improve my game, presentation or art as it is obvious that I am an amateur webmaster/modeler/artist. Please estimate art separately as I am working on a tight budget from a mini sponsor and must prioritize.
Once this phase is complete I can present it to major sponsors. However, we will continue with the project until my current budget is exhausted. Next we need a proper game lobby, spectator area for tournaments....
Read the text at the bottom of index page for an overview of the ISBTour.
To see/play the computer game click "Beat the Bot".
The flash intro will be replaced with a menu.
As of now the menu will have only "Play Now" and "How to Play and Win" plus the "ISBTour.com" -where applicable- links.
You need to register so you can access the gaming ladder. The "Play bot" in the ladder is the junk game.
The "Game lobby" is a vanilla Smartfoxpro lobby with only player connections to the only active game ladder (game room) ISB Tour.
It also has an image that needs to be deleted.
I am seeking a long term relationship with someone who has 3d browser game experience, art or connections to work with me on new projects and handle all of my current game and site development needs.
Legal: This is a "work for hire" project under US copyright law.
All intellectual property conveys including all source code (*.fla) to be delivered as we go.
Let me know how you prefer to do business.
I also have 2 other browser User-friendly 3d professional sports games I want programmed when this project is completed.
Questions/clarifications? Contact me through the message board.
Thanks,
Charlie
