Make website iPad/ iPod firendly

I've created a website for a client, but as a designer with limited programming knowlege there some back end things I need to be done. First it'd be great if the website could be templated or made more efficient with css etc and secondly as the website is mainly gallery based I'd love a way of making it work on an iPad, as in it's current form the only way of viewing pictures is with a swf gallery.

The look of the website would need to be exactly as is - I can provide all the images etc and the ftp login information but if I could just get the back end stuff cleaner and compatable on devices that would be great,

hopefully there's not much more that a day's work here
