-

- What vehicle attributes should be imported and synchronized from dealer feeds? For example, should the system handle specifications such as make, model, trim, mileage, registration, pricing, service history, finance information, vehicle descriptions, and dealer-specific custom fields?
- How should vehicle images be managed after download? Should images be stored locally, in cloud storage, or referenced directly from dealer feeds? Additionally, are there any requirements for image resizing, optimization, ordering, duplicate detection, or image retention policies? -

Questions
Which technology stack powers CarCatalog today?
Do you already have sample feeds from the major UK DMS providers you want supported first?
Should removed vehicles be marked as sold/unpublished or permanently deleted?
Approximately how many dealers and vehicle listings do you expect to support initially?
Will dealers require custom field mapping for non-standard feeds?
Is image optimization and CDN storage already in place, or should that be included?
Do you want dealers notified when feed imports fail or contain invalid data?
Will there be a dealer dashboard showing feed status, sync history, and import errors?
Are there existing APIs for vehicle creation and updates, or will the integration connect directly to the database?
What are the expected SLA requirements for inventory updates and synchronization failures? -

For the 15-minute synchronization cycle, is eventual consistency acceptable, or are there SLA requirements around how quickly vehicle additions, price changes, and sold-status updates must appear within CarCatalog?
-

Hi Moe, to confirm the integration approach, what technology stack and database does the existing CarCatalog website use, and will the developer have access to its current vehicle-creation and update APIs?
Do you already have sample XML, CSV, or JSON feeds from the UK DMS providers you want supported first? Also, when a vehicle disappears from a successfully processed feed, should it be permanently deleted or marked as sold/unpublished so its history is retained?
