Description
Experience Level: Entry
Estimated project duration: 1 day or less
We require services from a Expert web developer with expert skills in Wordpress to replace the existing blog section on our website (www.zedconsulting.co.uk) with a new format – using the theme: Futura (https://themeforest.net/category/wordpress/blog-magazine?term=futura). This theme/template should be provided free of charge by the developer.
The tasks are expected to include:
1. Installation of the Fortura theme onto our server
2. Configure the theme to present a UI that is consistent with our website structure brand. This includes:
a. Our current menu should be presented as it currently stands at the top of the page, and should behave as it currently does (i.e., its sticky).
b. The menu items on the theme are not required.
c. The header section of the theme will be used to present a body of text (to be provided later)
d. Change fonts to accord with our current stylesheet
e. Insert a footer (as per our current setup)
3. Configure functionality for the following:
a. We need a field in the admin section to mark as either ‘Public’ or ‘Subscriber before we publish them.
i. ‘Public’ posts will be visible to any web visitor.
ii. ‘Subscriber posts will be presented in full to registered and signed in subscribers. They will be prompted to login if they have not done so
iii. ‘Subscriber posts will only be presented in part to non-subscribers (image and perhaps first 50 words). They will be prompted to register as a subscriber in these cases)
iv. Note: Subscription is free of charge. New subscribers will be required to complete a pop-up form (3 fields: Name, Company, Email address, with hidden captcha).
b. The ‘Leave a Reply’ functionality (which appears below each post) will only be offered to subscribers. However, the page should present a prompt to encourage non-subscribers to register in this section.
c. Side bar column sections to include:
i. Search
ii. Categories
iii. Subscribe (similar to Newsletter (as in current template) but the button would pop up the registration form)
iv. Social / Share
v. Recent Posts
Thanks
David
