Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: 1 day or less
General information for the website: Fashion Lifestyle and Grooming Blog
Kind of development: Customization of existing website
Description of requirements/features: My main issue is with the Categories of the website. I have used a designer on PPH to get me this far with a blog design. He is using a pre-existing theme called Pure and customising it to my liking.

We are using two menus to navigate through the site. The first and main menu is ABOUT | CATEGORIES | CONTACT. You can see and use this menu on all pages.
When on the homepage/categories page, you see a sub-menu known as the 'portfolio' menu, and here you can filter out the categories. When you visit this page, it automatically loads with 'All' categories, and if you click on Style or Grooming, it filters out the posts with just those categories. It's a feature I'm fond of.
However, when you are on the ABOUT, CONTACT or blog pages, you cannot see the 'Portfolio' menu, therefore, to re-access it you have to click Categories from the main menu. It then takes you back to the 'All' categories page.
What I have asked my designer to do is create a dropdown menu on Categories, so as you hover over it, there is a dropdown with with Style Grooming and Lifestyle buttons, and when you click on a category, it takes you to the categories page, but with - for example - the Style filter applied, but you can still see the 'All' 'Style' 'Grooming' 'Lifestyle' categories if you would like to click through.
He is saying this can't be done, but I'm hoping it can. If you feel that you can code the site and theme to do this, I would happily take you on.
It may sound minor but it's something I just want done on the site. I don't think a user should have to click on the Categories button, it take you to 'All' and then you have to siift back through. I'd rather them hover over the 'Categories' button, a sub menu drops down, you can click on 'Style' and it take you to the 'Categories' page but with the Style button/filter having been selected.
Payment methods: Credit Card, Paypal
Extra services needed: Customization, Optimization
