Description
The work will focus on the product browsing experience and several related frontend improvements. The existing project already has its general structure, so this is primarily an implementation and refinement task rather than a complete website build.
The main tasks include:
Improving the product listing interface
Creating responsive product cards
Implementing category and product filtering
Improving the product details layout
Adding sorting and search interface elements
Improving the shopping basket interface
Making the pages fully responsive
Fixing existing frontend issues
Improving loading speed and general usability
Testing the interface across desktop and mobile devices
The developer should be comfortable working with an existing codebase and implementing designs consistently without unnecessarily changing unrelated parts of the application.
Technical Requirements
Experience with:
React.js
Next.js
TypeScript
JavaScript
HTML5
CSS3
Tailwind CSS or similar
REST API integration
Git/GitHub
Experience with online retail interfaces, product catalogues, or similar customer-facing web applications would be useful.
Deliverables
The completed work should include the updated product catalogue interface, responsive product pages, filtering and sorting functionality, improved basket interface, frontend bug fixes, and basic cross-browser testing.
Budget: $900 fixed
Estimated timeline: 10–14 days
Please include a short introduction, your portfolio, GitHub profile if available, and 2–3 examples of relevant frontend work.

Hi Nicolaw,
Could you please clarify the following:
1. Are the designs for the catalogue, product and basket improvements already finalised, or are you expecting the developer to make some UI/UX decisions during implementation?
2. Are filtering, sorting, search and basket APIs already available and documented?
3. Are there any particular performance issues or frontend bugs you've already identified that should be prioritised?
Looking forward. -

-/ Could you please share the existing website/project link, current design references or Figma files, and the specific requirements you already have documented?
-/ how the product filters should work (category, price, brand, size, availability, etc.)?
-/ whether search and sorting APIs already exist or need frontend handling?
-/ what product variants need to be supported, and whether the basket currently connects to an existing checkout/backend flow or also requires functional changes? -

Could you please share the existing codebase and design files for review before we start?
-

Please clarify the following questions:
1. Could you share the existing website/repository and confirm whether the backend APIs for products, categories, search, filtering, and basket functionality are already available and working?
2. Do you already have Figma/UI designs for the catalogue, product details, filters, and basket screens, or will the developer be expected to improve the UX/UI based on the existing design?
3. Are filtering, sorting, and search expected to work through existing API endpoints/server-side, or should these features be implemented on the frontend?
4. For the $900 fixed budget and 10–14 day timeline, is the scope limited strictly to the listed frontend improvements, with no major backend changes or new e-commerce functionality?
