Description
Server Error 500 Plesk\Exception\Database DB query failed: (2002) SQLSTATE[HY000] [2002] Connection refused Type Plesk\Exception\Database Message DB query failed: (2002) SQLSTATE[HY000] [2002] Connection refused File Mysql.php Line 79
I could only access the server and my sites when I used this command (sudo -u mysql mariadbd --skip-grant-tables --console). when I closed the command prompt the server and sites stopped working.
I spent ages using AI to try to fix the issue. It gave me a command and now I can access my server. however my databases are shown in plesk, but when I go into them into phpMyAdmin, there are no databases and there is an error at the bottom saying:
The phpMyAdmin configuration storage is not completely configured, some extended features have been deactivated. Find out why.
Or alternatively go to 'Operations' tab of any database to set it up there.
Because phpMyAdmin is showing no databases or tables, my websites are still not working.
Also for some reason webmail doesn't work for all of my sites.
I need my websites and emails back up and running

Hi Carl,
A few quick questions:
1. What operating system and version is your server running (Ubuntu, Debian, AlmaLinux, etc.)?
2. Have you taken a recent backup or snapshot of the server before the issue occurred?
3. Do you have SSH root access and full Plesk administrator access available?
4. Did the issue start immediately after the Plesk restart, or were there any MariaDB, Plesk, or OS updates performed beforehand?
5. Approximately how many websites and databases are hosted on the server?
6. Do you have a budget in mind for resolving this issue?
Looking forward to your response. -

Have you taken a backup of the current MariaDB data directory since the issue began?
