Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
We require someone to update WordPress core, theme and plugins daily and monthly.
This is mostly handled through MainWP for multiple sites.
If any problems occur during updates you will aim to troubleshoot and resolve.
You’ll have good hosting experience and WordPress development experience as will be required for troubleshooting.
In addition there are annual tasks and adhoc tasks.

***** Scope of work *****
(This list is not exhaustive)
-- Daily Tasks (Fixed Rate)
- Check a slack channel and email account for alerts + respond if needed
- Reconnect any disconnected sites in MainWP (Automated process)
- Bulk Update plugins in MainWP (Automated process)
- Bulk update Database update in Main WP (Automated process)
- Check a mailbox for any critical updates and apply
The daily checks are to be completed between 5AM and 7AM GMT. Monday to Friday.
Report/Comment on any issues found on the daily check and be available to respond/resolve them after 9AM GMT if needed.
This takes around 15 to 30 minutes per day 5 days a week. 10 hours per month

- Bulk Update WordPress Cores (From MainWP)
- Bulk update of Themes (From MainWP)
- Manual update of premium themes and plugins (Login to site manually)
- Check for last database backup date
- Check core plugins are installed (Automated process)
- Check for abandoned Themes and Plugins (Automated process)
There are 100 hundred sites to update the themes and dependent plugins.
This usually takes about 5 or 6 minutes per site to backup, run the theme updater and update any dependent plugins, purge the cache and quick check of the site.
This takes our current assistant between 8 to 10 hours a month.
To be carried out between 11PM and 6AM GMT on any day of the week.

There's currently one task to check around 350 sites to ensure they work on the latest php version.
This takes around 1 week.
-- Adhoc tasks (Adhoc Rate)
This is usually admin related tasks and varies through the year.
Adding new sites to our system which takes about 10 minutes per site and there's usually 2 to 4 sites a month to add.

Daily Tasks - 5AM and 7AM GMT. Monday to Friday. (+ some availability after 9AM GMT)
Monthly Tasks - 11PM and 6AM GMT on any day of the week.
