Create me an events and rankings website

I want to produce a small website that had two core functions;

1/
Ability for me to create and display basic event listings and search and filter these on criteria using toggles and text inputs - this should be presented with a google maps widget. For a general (more complex) example see:

I want to basically copy the rankings function of this defunct website (I have permission)

I need to update a lot of the values, the general design and some of the ranking formula but the core concept is broadly similar. I need a method of uploading results. The existing .js is available for reuse etc.

I will require the ability to add other simple pages from the homepage, like links, contacts etc, I have some basic knowledge.
No e-commerce required.
