Summary
Using OO techniques, Java and JSP, you are required to design and develop a Web Application which enables research questionnaire surveys to be deployed via a Web page.
This Web application will allow each survey participant to undertake a survey of 10 questions.
Your application will provide a variety of question types (provided by the teaching team), that the survey participants must respond to. Once the survey is complete, summary statistics of the responses will be available for the administrators of the survey.
Detailed Specification
Below is a list of requirements for this application. You must satisfy the basic requirements, but will obtain additional marks for undertaking the advanced requirements.
If you manage to satisfy both sets of requirements, you may wish to incorporate your own novel features.
Basic Requirements
1. Enable participants to login via a login page
2. Provide a suitable instructions page for participants
3. Use a button to start and submit the survey session
4. Ask all 10 questions provided in the database
5. Record a response for each question
6. Provide summary reports of all of the responses
7. Record each attempt in the database
8. Ensure that the users are notified of errors at runtime
9. Incorporate suitable validation for user input
10. Enable researcher to create, edit and delete surveys
Advanced Requirements
1. Provide test administrator with a page containing summary of all responses so far for specific users
2. Incorporate a feature which allows the test administrator to delete any questionnaire which has been undertaken
3. Provide test administrator with a page containing useful statistical information on surveys completed to date e.g. percentage response for each question, how many questionnaires have been completed.
4. Incorporate a hit counter.
