Description
We need a full-featured freelancer website built from the ground up. The site has to look modern, load quickly on mobile and desktop, and make it effortless for shoppers to browse, add items to a cart, and check out securely. A clean dashboard for adding or editing projects, managing projects, and tracking projects is essential.
Design and user experience matter to me, so I want crisp visuals, intuitive navigation, and reliable search and filter functions. On the technical side, please implement best-practice security, HTTPS across all pages, and clear GDPR-ready policies. SEO-friendly URLs, meta tags, and structured data should be in place from day one so the store can start ranking as soon as it goes live.
Deliverables:
• Fully responsive storefront and product pages
• Shopping cart and secure checkout flow
• Integration of at least one mainstream payment gateway (credit/debit cards, PayPal, or similar)
• Order confirmation emails and basic customer account area
• Admin panel for products, categories, coupons, and reporting
• Launch support plus a short hand-over video or document explaining routine tasks
• Mobile Responsive
FEATURES:
We want it to match the features of site: Megalancer. Including:
- No charge to place bids — freelancers bid on as many jobs as they want, for Free.
- No monthly fees — free to join, free to use the site, no monthly fees, no bid fees.
- Freelancers set rates — freelancers control pricing and bid strategy.
- Direct communication — freelancers can chat with clients as they bid on projects.
- Unlimited bids — freelancers bid on as many jobs as they want, anytime.
- $0 to bid — Freelancers are never charged to place a bid, bidding is always 100% free.
- Refer clients and earn 5% cash back on their project payments, for Life.
Once the site is live and tested, I expect a brief window for fixes or tweaks to ensure everything performs flawlessly. If you have recent e-commerce builds to showcase, that will help me gauge fit quickly.

Hi, before submitting a proposal, I would like to clarify a few points so I can make sure my approach and estimate are aligned with the actual scope:
1. Is the Megalancer-style platform already fully specified, or are you expecting the developer to define the technical architecture, user flows and functionality from the description provided?
2. Is the project currently approved and funded, with the intention of starting development once the right freelancer is selected?
3. For the marketplace functionality, will there be separate client and freelancer accounts, including registration, profiles, project posting, bidding, messaging, payments and dashboards?
4. Regarding the 5% lifetime referral cashback, should this be an automated referral/commission system with tracking, attribution and payment records?
5. Do you already have the branding, UI/UX designs and technical specifications, or would the selected developer be responsible for these as well?
6. Is there an existing Megalancer website/platform that you want functionally replicated, or are you looking for a similar feature set with an original design and implementation?
7. What is your target launch timeframe, and are you looking for the entire platform to be delivered as one project or in defined development milestones?
8. Finally, what budget range has been allocated for the complete build? This would help determine the most appropriate technology stack and development approach.
If the project is fully approved and these points are aligned, I would be happy to submit a detailed proposal with milestones, deliverables and a development plan. -

Hello Randy,
I have some questions regarding the project:
- Should bidding, chat, referrals, and project tracking be handled through one unified user dashboard?
- Which payment gateway and payout method should support freelancer payments and the 5% referral cashback?
- Do you have Megalancer API or feature specifications available for detailed workflow matching? -

1/ For project payments, should funds be held/escrowed until the project is completed, or paid directly to the freelancer?
2/ Should the platform support milestones, partial payments, revisions, disputes, and refunds from the first release?
3/ For the 5% lifetime referral program, should the commission apply to every future project payment from the referred client, regardless of which freelancer they hire? -

-/ Should payments work through milestones/escrow-style funding, or will clients pay the full project amount upfront?
-/ What percentage will the platform earn from completed projects if freelancers are not charged for bidding or memberships?
-/ Should projects support both fixed-price and hourly contracts?
-/ Will freelancers require identity/KYC verification before receiving payouts? -

Hi Randy,
Before finalising the scope, there are three important points I’d like to confirm:
1. When a client hires a freelancer, should the platform hold the project payment/escrow until work is approved, or does payment go directly to the freelancer?
2. Will projects support milestones and partial payments, or only one payment per project?
3. For the 5% lifetime referral cashback, is the reward paid from your platform commission, and should users be able to withdraw that balance or only use it as platform credit?
Happy to discuss.
Best Regards. -

Is this meant to be a product based e-commerce store, or a bidding marketplace like Megalancer, or both combined?
