I need an experienced WordPress/database developer to safely clean and optimise a large WordPress database.
Please see the attached database analysis report.
The priority is to reduce database bloat before creating a staging/clone site.
The main cleanup areas appear to be non-essential historical/plugin-generated data, including:
Smush optimisation history
Imagify optimisation history
Completed/old Action Scheduler records and logs
Wordfence logs
Yoast SEO cache/index data
Old stats/logs
Other safe-to-remove plugin-generated data
Please do not remove anything essential, including:
_wp_attachment_metadata
_wp_attached_file
Core WordPress metadata
Active plugin configuration data
Anything needed for media, layouts, WooCommerce, events, ads, SEO or user accounts
Before doing anything, please confirm:
A full database backup is in place
Exactly what you plan to clean
What you will leave untouched
Whether there is any risk to the live site
How long it will take
Your fixed price or hourly estimate
The cleanup should be done carefully and safely. I do not want anything deleted that could affect the media library, layouts, WooCommerce, events, ads, SEO, users or active site functionality.
Once the database is cleaned and optimised, the next step will be creating a lighter staging/clone site.
