Description
Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: Not sure
General information for the website: Promotional advertising for Gambling (affiliation).
Kind of development: Customization of existing website
Num. of web pages/modules: Will explain when contacted.
Description of every page/module: The website consists of:
5 - Templates
These templates control all of the sub pages (individual promotions).
5 - main pages (Sports, Casino, Poker, Bingo, Games)
These aren't controlled by the templates, they're stand alone pages.
50+ - Sub pages (individual promotions)
Controlled via the templates, with only certain elements and DIV's customisable within the pages HTML so i can change the promotion, for example the HREF, image source and description of promotion)
6 - information pages )contact page, terms&cons, links, cookies, privacy)
These don't really have to be made responsive or customised, but if the contact page COULD be made responsive and look tidy then that would be great.
Description of requirements/features: Hey there,
I've made my website from scratch by myself (self-taught), when i made it using HTML and CSS i didn't design it to be responsive, but with the changing world we live in and mobiles taking over desktops/laptops i need to change the design of my website.
The desktop version of the website i feel is fine and nothing needs changing, but i recently outsourced this responsive work to someone and even though they put down some basic Media_queries and it has in fact made my site responsive, they haven't truly finished the work as my landing page has been made responsive, but the sub pages haven't been optimised at all and the home page when turned to Tablet or Mobile is a mess.
I've based my desktop version a lot around design and UX, it's my USP as my competitors are all pretty messy, so when i see that the responsive designs are horrible and messy i don't want to update my site. My current non-responsive site is still online and fine, but i've made a sub-domain where the responsive CSS has been applied, this is:
http://responsive.ultimatebets.co.uk/index.html
When you view it you'll understand the problem, now i have a few design ideas which could be good but i don't think i'd be able to implement them, as i said at the start i'm self taught and i could do these modifications but it would take me a long time and updating the site, SEO and other things i simply don't have time to have my head in the CSS doing trial and error.
This site will have to be updated frequently, so what ever is optimised will have to be future proof, all of the pages i've designed are off internal HTML templates i designed at the very start so only a few lines of HTML will have to be changed for me to update the pages, so as long as these elements are responsive we shouldn't have a problem, image sizes if a problem are easily changeable and i have everything on a local file.
The layout of the site is modern and i would like to keep it modern.
I can't really think of what else i could add at this moment in time but if you're interested then please get in contact and we can discuss further.
Many thanks,
Lee.
Extra notes: - The menu bar needs to get changed and replaced in the tablet and mobile version to be something like the attached file (ORANGEMENU2.jpg)
- The 'Top 5 Bets' needs to become a drop down menu as it's currently showing all the promotions at once, something like attached file (drop-down-menu.jpg). The text saying 'Edit Users' would become the Promotional company and the picture to the right would become the size of the promotion (GBP £).
A few other design issues but you can sort of see what i'm after, modern, slick and UX friendly.
