Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
We are looking to develop an online ordering system for all stationery requirements.
We have around 75 offices and each office would require a log in, in which to order their stationery. Stationery includes, various size envelopes, comp slips, Appointment Cards, Business Cards (2 templates), Letterheads (around 5 templates).
Once a week head office, would log into the system, collect all orders and send them to print.
Envelopes and comp slips would not require any personalisation and therefore the system would simply need to track how many have been ordered, and keep a count of how many are in stock.
Appointment Cards, Business Cards and Letterheads would require a level of personalisation through the online system.
i.e. When the Leeds office logs in, we would expect the system to know the basic address / contact details for this office and therefore rule out any of the other 74 offices. They would then select 'Business Cards' for example and choose the correct template (there are 2 available). The user would not be able to alter the design, but merely just fill in a few text fields to populate the business card (name, title, email, phone). They would then need to see and approve a proof before selecting how many they wish to order. The same basic principles will apply to appointment cards and letterheads.
Upon approval we would require the system to create Hi res Print Ready CMYK PDFs, 300dpi, with crop marks and bleed. When we log in once a week we would download these and send them to print.
We would like the system to remember all proofs created so that when that same person logs back in, they can see previous proofs and order those, rather than re-creating them.
The currently artwork uses a non web font - Trebuchet MS - we would like to continue using this font if possible.
We would supply you will all basic templates, with examples of them populated with copy as well so that you can see how they would need to appear. In the situation where a user has a very long name or requires an unusual character font, we may choose to revert them to us if we struggle to find a way for the system to deal with this.
