Hi, I’m looking for a developer to create a website for personalized children’s books.

I already have the books fully designed and illustrated. The AI does not need to create the book or illustrations from scratch.

I have already tested the personalization process manually and it works well.

The current process is:

I have an image containing several poses of the illustrated main character.
The customer provides a clear photo of their child.
Both images are sent to an AI image editor with a fixed prompt.
The AI changes the illustrated character to resemble the child while keeping the same art style, clothes, poses and expressions.
I then use the personalized character poses inside the existing book.

I will provide you with:

the original character pose image
a sample child photo
the AI result I achieved
the exact prompt I currently use

What I need initially is very simple:

I want a website where a customer can:

Choose a book → enter the child’s name → upload their photo → place an order/pay.

Behind the scenes, I want the child’s photo and my character-pose image to be automatically sent to an AI image API using my existing prompt, and for the personalized character image to be generated.

I also need a simple admin area where I can see:

the order
child’s name and photo
generated character image
regenerate it if needed
approve the order

At first, I do not need the whole book to be generated automatically. My designer can manually place the generated character into the book after I approve it.

Later, if the website is successful, I may automate more of the book-production process.

The most important first step is simply to automate what I am currently doing manually with AI.

    - First book details and pricing
    - Brand assets
    - Hosting or WordPress setup
    - Preferred payment provider

    - What image formats and minimum quality requirements should be accepted for the child's photo, and should the system automatically validate unsuitable images? Will every book use the same AI prompt, or could each book have its own prompt, character image, style instructions and generation settings?

    - Which payment methods and currencies do you need, and do you already have a preferred payment provider such as Stripe? Should the order be considered ready for AI processing only after the payment has been successfully confirmed through the payment provider's webhook?

    Just a few quick questions:

    1. Do you already have a website/hosting setup, or should the website and backend be built completely from scratch?

    2. Which AI image-editing API are you currently using? If you don't have an API yet, please send me your current character image, sample child photo, exact prompt, and the AI-generated result so I can determine the best API for reproducing the same result.

    3. For payments, which payment gateway do you want to use (e.g. Stripe or PayPal)?

    Once I have these details, I can confirm the exact approach, timeline and cost.
