Description

Experience Level: Expert
We need a custom testing application to replace our current Excel-based workflow, which uses 16 client-specific worksheets and embedded formulas to analyse pressure-test data imported from a data logger. The software should capture test details, display GPS locations on a map, and support taking or uploading photos. It must import Excel data, generate graphs and analysis, and automatically determine pass or fail against relevant industry standards. Users should be able to edit and save incomplete tests for a defined period. On completion, the app must generate a PDF matching our existing workbook layout and support delivery to OneDrive or an email address.
Also complex formulas within the excel spread sheet would need to be imported to allow excel import to produce graph, pass or fail tests as per industry guidance.

If formula is easy to re create or easy understood by bidder, we would be looking for other testing standards to be then written into this

    1. Existing Excel Workbook: Could you share the current workbook containing all 16 worksheets, formulas, graphs, and pass/fail calculations, along with a sample data-logger export?

    2. Testing Standards: Which industry standards are currently used, and do you have documentation for the calculations and pass/fail criteria? Would you also like additional standards added in the future?

    3. Current System: Is there an existing software application, and if so, which framework or technology stack is it built with? Or will this be a completely new application?

    4. PDF Reports and Integrations: Could you share a sample report? Should the PDF match the existing Excel layout exactly, and is direct OneDrive integration required alongside email delivery?

    5. Platform and Data Storage: Should the application support desktop and mobile devices? How long should incomplete tests be saved before they expire?

    With the existing workbook and a sample data export, I can assess the formulas, implementation approach, and estimated development effort.
