Wordpress Website With API & Payment Issues

Experience Level: Entry
I have a wordpress website which then pulls data from a providers API and also integrates to their stripe payment gateway to process all payments.

Currently we have a version of the website on a development URL which works perfectly other than the fact when we go to process a payment, it isn't working and we're unsure why. We're unable to put the payment method into test mode due to the fact the supplier/provider utilises the payment gateway for their own bookings also so we need to run actual live transactions to test.

The problem I'm facing is that no transaction will process via this method.

We then have another version of the website which utilises a plugin and vue.js however this version doesn't have the styling we'd like but the payments do process and work correctly.

Ultimately I need a developer who can fix the payment issue we're facing.

    Hi Jacob,

    Can you provide any more details about the software stack you're using for the website? Which API are you using? Are you using a plugin for processing the payments with Stripe or is this done with custom code?

    Secondly, are you getting any errors? Do you have any form of logging in place for the payments?

    I'm not entirely certain why you can't still run it in test mode as this won't affect any live payments - they are completely separate. So, it sounds like a little bit of BS from the supplier/provider if I'm honest... Definitely sounds shady either way...
