Wordpress theme editing

I have purchased a Wordpress theme for a website for my client and I would like help in changing the background images and colors of the theme. I need the talents of someone who has the tools and experience to edit purchased Wordpress themes. I am able to customize the theme using Wordpress but do not know how to actually edit the theme's features that are not editable by the dashboard.
