Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
General information for the website: A real estate agent wants to automatically gather information instead of manually gather it
Num. of web pages/modules: 1
Description of requirements/features: A real estate agent wants to scrape a few fields from the funda.nl website and store them into a google spreadsheet.
Scripting Language: PHP
The configuration information for the script should be at the top of the script, so I can easily change it, things like the google api key and the url to use, etc
The page contains a listing of real estate properties, you need to scan each item, obtain the information and put it into the google spreadsheet, each item written into the spreadsheet should contain todays date in the format YYYY-mm-dd, for example: 2014-08-22
At the end of the page, is a pagination area, you must go to the next page in the list, if you are on page 1, goto page 2, or page 3, goto page 4, until there are no more pages left and scrape all the information from all the pages in the paginator
The url to scrape from is: http://www.funda.nl/huur/heel-nederland/
The information to scrape from the website is:
Address (Street + Number)
Link (it's the anchor tag of the address)
Postal Code (e.g: 1234 AB)
City (Next to postal code)
Rental price (e.g: €850)
Rooms (e.g: 4 kamers)
I have attached a picture to illustrate the fields. I have marked the first row in blue and white to illustrate the pieces of information to obtain, please extract the text, don't include HTML because the resulting google spreadsheet will not look good.
Extra notes:
