We need a Moodle developer/admin to fix our cron schedule

We're a small non-profit association who deliver training and qualifications online using Moodle. Our user numbers are growing and we need someone who is more familiar with Moodle to get things running more smoothly as our existing IT guy only really looks after our hosting and Wordpress site. He's very happy to collab/pass on what's needed!

Looking through the Moodle forums it seems that what we need to do is fix the cron schedule - I think this might be the root of some of our frustrations, and fixing it would therefore mean that other things like email notifications and course copy-forwards actually work (the most common question I get when I ask how to fix these is "Is cron running?"). Happy to be corrected if this is not the case...

Potential for ongoing configuration/automation setup work if this first bit is completed successfully and we get on!
