VBA macro to automate functions in Microsoft Word

Create a VBA macro to automate features on a patient list (formatted as a table in a word document). The list manages the daily operations of a neonatal unit. The macro would need to automatically update the gestation of all babies on the unit as well as their length of stay each day. The macro would need to function within the current formatting of the list (with minimal changes only) and be flexible to the introduction and removal of patients.

An example list is attached, with two test patients. The full list has multiple sections but the formatting is the same. The macro needs to update the corrected gestation and the day of admission. This is expressed on the list as the birth gestation and after the arrow the current gestation. For example, a baby born at 32 weeks and 2 days gestation who is now three days old would show as 32+2 --> 32+4 and D3 (by convention, a baby is day 1 on the day they are born). A baby born at 29+5 gestation who is four days old would now be 30 + 2.
