Urgent Full-Stack Developer: Audit, Fix & Deploy Rental System

I urgently need an experienced senior full-stack developer to audit, repair and deploy an existing vehicle rental system. Immediate availability and hands-on support are essential.

The code is held in GitHub, with applications deployed through Vercel. The system includes three connected applications:

• Customer booking website and administration: reservations, vehicle availability, customer accounts, payments and deposit management.
• Operations dashboard: allocating, managing and tracking vehicle delivery and collection jobs.
• Driver-facing application: deliveries, collections, vehicle inspections, photographs, customer signatures and job status updates.

Integrations include Stripe, Twilio, vehicle tracking and Google advertising/analytics. You will need to inspect the repositories to confirm the full technology stack, database and architecture.

WHAT I NEED

• Audit all repositories and applications, including code quality, security, authentication, database, integrations and deployment configuration.
• Understand how the applications communicate and identify broken, incomplete or unreliable functionality.
• Review the existing Trello backlog and verify reported fixes against the actual system.
• Resolve operational problems across bookings, payments, deposit refunds, job allocation, driver handovers, photographs, signatures, notifications and driver-office messaging.
• Clean up problematic code and improve reliability and performance where needed.
• Test complete customer, office and driver journeys.
• Commit all changes to our GitHub repositories and deploy verified updates through Vercel.
• Provide clear documentation of changes, deployment steps and any outstanding issues.

HANDS-ON SUPPORT

I am not a developer. I need someone patient who can work alongside me through screen-sharing calls and explain the system in plain English.

You must show me how to navigate the code, understand GitHub, make straightforward edits safely, test changes and deploy them. I also use AI coding assistance and need help reviewing suggested changes and understanding when specialist development is required.

DEADLINE

This is an urgent, immediate-start project. The target is to complete the audit, agreed operational fixes, testing and deployment within three working days of starting.

Begin with a rapid assessment and agree a realistic scope for that deadline. Any issues that cannot be completed within it must be flagged promptly, with reasons and a clear completion plan. Please do not promise everything can be fixed before inspecting the code.

WORKING ARRANGEMENTS

• Initial screen-sharing call and walkthrough.
• Clear priorities, milestones and costs following the initial assessment.
• At least two progress updates each working day.
• Demonstrations and testing evidence for completed fixes.
• A safe deployment and rollback process.
• Final walkthrough and practical handover.
