Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
General information for the business: Testing
Kind of development: Customization of existing program
Description of requirements/functionality: This application considers a simplified version of auto complete using the Map abstract data type.
To implement a Java program that will reads a text file containing a list of English words to build a dictionary using these different implementations of the Map abstract data type
(I) Binary Search Trees {balanced} (II) List-based (II) Hashing
and determines a list of word prediction based on common misspellings.
::::::::::::::A skeleton application code with some methods is provided for Interested programmer::::::::::::::::
TEST
1. For a single word prediction (including and exculding accessing and reading from file) measure the time
2. For a list of words prediction (including and excluding accessing and reading from file) measure the time
Documentation
1. Program Design: Explain your design, classes , methods etc
2. Map Implementation: Explain the implementation for the method and any other method relevant to this application. Like, how the application is reads from the given word list and how the application deals with capitalization. Discuss similarities and differences of steps for the three different Map Implementation
3. Implementation of Word Prediction: Explain the implementation for the method and any other method relevant to this application. Like using the Mao for checking, avoiding duplication
4. Analysis: Discuss relevant time and space behavior of the three Map implementations the Java Collection Framework documentation and any other resources you may find. Discuss the results of this application from Testing. Present the data you used in an appropriate format, e. g., tables or graphs. All figures, tables and diagrams should include captions, and be numbered and cited where appropriate in the main text.
