Signature Extraction

I need some code to extract a handwritten signature from an image (see example image attached) in order just to be left with the signature separated from the paper background. Preferably I would like this to be achieved using JavaScript or Python as I will be plugging this functionality into an existing application.

Requirements

- provide a code in the form of a function which accepts an image
- The function extracts the handwritten signature from the image and new image is available
- Code in JavaScript or Python preferably
