Senior React/Node Developer: Live Booking Platform Takeover

We run a UK vehicle hire business and need an experienced full-stack developer or small development team to complete and support an existing live platform.

The system connects a customer booking website, an administration and operations dashboard, and driver apps for deliveries and collections. Source code, existing assessments and a list of outstanding work are available.

We’re looking for someone who can take responsibility for technical delivery, communicate clearly and provide dependable support after completion.

TECHNOLOGY

React/TypeScript, Node.js/Express, Prisma/PostgreSQL, Vercel, Supabase, Capacitor, Stripe and Twilio. The code is held in a GitHub monorepo.

WORK REQUIRED

• Review the current code and existing assessments, verify outstanding issues and agree a prioritised completion plan.
• Complete and test booking, payment, charged-deposit and refund workflows.
• Resolve operational issues involving driver allocation, driver–office messaging, delivery/collection handovers and booking completion.
• Review database and storage migration readiness.
• Deliver tested releases, a rollback procedure, written documentation and a recorded handover.

HOW WE WILL WORK

We will begin with a small, paid milestone with a capped price and clear deliverables. This should build on the existing assessments and establish a realistic repair plan, costs and timings.

Further implementation will be agreed through separately priced milestones with clear acceptance criteria.

We require brief daily progress updates, demonstrations of completed work, regular commits to our repository and testing on preview deployments before approved production releases.

4. What would your first paid milestone deliver, how long would it take, and what capped price would you propose?

Established freelancers and small teams are welcome. Remote working is suitable with daily overlap during UK business hours.

We want to start promptly and agree a realistic completion timetable based on the current system.
