Description of requirements/functionality: Design, develop and deliver a Python script which will work within the QGIS processing framework.
The script should take an irregularly shaped polygon (Which may include cut outs) and divide it into a specified number of equal parts. Note, the parts do not have to be exactly the same area as some form of small tolerance will need to be taken into account.
Each polygon to be split represents a field boundary and its division into equal parts is required to represent soil sample zones. Field boundaries tend to be irregular in shape and can include cut outs (inner rings) and this needs to be taken into account when processing.
The process required to split polygons manually is time consuming, therefore the automated process will need to be carried out within QGIS as a robust batch process for a large number of polygons each varying in size and shape.
Specific technologies required: Python, QGIS
