OpenAI & Google Sheets Workflow Integration

We have an existing Node.js application that requires a focused AI-powered workflow integration.

The workflow will receive data through an existing webhook, process the data through the OpenAI API, validate the response against an agreed structured JSON format, and write the completed result to an existing Google Sheet.

The selected engineer will work within the application’s current architecture. This is a focused integration rather than a broader redesign or new application build.

Review the existing webhook and Node.js implementation
Receive and validate the webhook payload
Transform the source data for processing
Integrate the OpenAI API
Generate an agreed structured JSON response
Validate and safely parse the AI response
Write the processed result to an existing Google Sheet
Add focused error handling, retry behavior, and logging
Add or update tests for the workflow
Provide brief implementation notes
