Hello,
I have a membership system for a small surf related service, with around 30 members. I manage their details in a simple google sheet. Whenever their membership is up for renewal, I need to send them a whatsapp text manually.
I would like to automate this, so as soon as someones membership expiry date is coming up, a whatsapp text is sent to them automatically reminding them to renew their membership.
I started building this already and have a simple node JS app that can pull from a google sheet already. But I need to integrate this with whatsapp API to automatically send a text.
I tried to use Whatsapp Business API to do this, but I would like to keep using the pre-existing business phone number thats already on whatsapp. Sounds like whatsapp business app needs its dedicated phone number, can't use a number thats on the app already. Once the automated message is sent and if clients send me replies, I want to use the regular whatsapp app on my phone to reply to them..
I found this github project https://github.com/pranavms13/whatsapp-node-api which does something similar. It uses my personal whatsapp to send messages, once authenticated. I was hoping to leverage this somehow..
I need someone who is familiar with this and can help me with this integration. And also help me deploy this app to some cloud service so it runs on its own, checks the google sheet at regular intervals and sends out whats app messages automatically.
