Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: less than 1 week
General information for the website: pricing
Description of requirements/features: Requirement: Need to compare pricing in 2 tables and then write to the page the differences and update one of the tables with the new pricing.
Description: We have 2 tables “Table rates in database bareboats” and “Table melody in database viyachts1”.
“Table rates in database bareboats” has the fields “rate_yacht” and “rate_basecode” which match up to the fields “yacht_rate_id” and “base_code” in “Table melody in database viyachts1”.
“Table rates in database bareboats” has the pricing per day in the field “rate_dollars” which goes with the date field in that table “rate_charter_date”. “rate_charter_date” displays the date in a format like “20140125” and “rate_dollars” displays the pricing in a format like “715.0000”.
“Table melody in database viyachts1” has the pricing in 52 individual fields (ie price1, price2, price3 to price52) that are the weeks of the year. And the pricing is for the week and is formatted like “1700”.
I need a MySQL query that will multiple “Table rates in database bareboats” “rate_dollars” by 7 (unless the “rate_basecode” is STO in that case multiply it by 6.5) to get the weekly rate and strip the “.0000”. And determine what week of the year “Table rates in database bareboats” “rate_charter_date” is.
Then compare the results to “Table melody in database viyachts1” where “rate_yacht” and “rate_basecode” are equal to “yacht_rate_id” and “base_code” in “Table melody in database viyachts1”.
And let me know what pricing doesn’t match up for each week.
I would like these results to be able to be printed on a web page for review (preferably PHP) and then if the “Table melody in database viyachts1” pricing does not match up to the “Table rates in database bareboats” update “Table melody in database viyachts1” with the new pricing info.
I know this is allot of information but I wanted to give as much up front as possible.
I will want to eventually redo all of these databases (this is just a quick fix) and have many other project I want to do after this one. I have MySQL and PHP experience and will be overseeing all the projects and am hoping to find someone that can help me with this and then move forward with me on other projects.
Thank you.
p.s This is my first job posting.
I am hoping that it is not that difficult and can be knocked out shortly by an experienced developer.
But if I am wrong and my budget is off please let me know.
