I need files which have been up-loaded to be displayed

General information for the website: I have a page that needs to display users files, these files should only display if the user belong to a company, ie each company have different subfolders.
Kind of development: Customization of existing website
Description of every page/module: The folder is set up by the admin and choosing which company it belongs to, when the folder is added it creates the parent folder and also the sub-folder which is a number that relates to the company ID.

EG Acme Ltd company ID is 8 so the folder structure is Parent Folder --> Subfolder is 8

Also when a user tries tp upload a file it gets the following error
Error! Most likely upload directory doesn't have writable permissions or you didn't set it up correctly.
Description of requirements/features: The page to display the files have been done but I need the code changed as the files are now uploaded to a sub folder instead of the parent folder so need the code changed to show the files in the subfolder.

The upload page works fine on my test server on my laptop but not on my live server.
