Description
Experience Level: Expert
I need a small application to be developed that will send serial commands to a device connected via tcp/ip. The software will provide a way to update the firmware of the device.
An option will be needed to select a file containing the firmware. It will also be necessary to select the IP address and Port.
The software will initially place the device into a programming mode by sending a serial command. Once this is done, a serial command will be returned to confirm that the device is ready for programming.
The serial data to be sent is Java code, which can be sent via a normal serial console(e.g. Putty). Currently this would be in the form of a txt file. It would be good to have the file changed into an unreadable format so that the file can not be read and copied.

Hello Sean,
Serial commands require that the device has and is connected via a serial interface. Does the device have a serial port ?
